The Battle of Atlantic
Britain relied on Europe to supply them with reinforcement but now half of the Europe was in the hands on Germany. Canada took the advantage and supplied Britain with the reinforcement threw North Atlantic sea but Germany's U-boats would go around Atlantic see trying to hunt Allies ships. This was the longest battles and was known as Battle of Atlantic.
Canada had 13 ships and 13000 member in 1939 but by the end of the war we had more than 375 ships and 110000 members.
Canadian RCN helped sunk 30 U-boats, the RCN lost 14 warships to enemy attack and another eight ships to accidents at sea during the Second World War, with approximately 2,000 losing their lives.
